"We spent a wonderful morning getting to try new Greek foods around Athens with Vasiliki (Vicki). The first place we went to was a small greek cafe where we tried some greek pastries, a spinach pie as well as a delicious cream filled pie as well as the infamous Greek coffee. Next we walked through a meat and fish market which was so interesting! The second food we tried were pistachios which are very popular in Athens and Greece. Following that, we walked over to a stand that had many varieties of olives. We tried all sorts of different types of olives. After that we stopped in a place that had a bunch of different kinds of cheese and personally I thought they were all so delicious, especially the creamy feta! The next food we tried after that were greek meat skewers called souvlaki. We got to try both the chicken and pork and both were so tasty! Lastly to finish out the tour we went to a little dessert place and tried a type of dessert called lukamades and they were so good! Vasiliki was a wonderful tour guide! She spoke wonderful english, was easy to talk to, and was so nice! Throughout the tour while telling us about the food she also gave us a history lesson on Greece and told us more about each area we were walking through. She was our family's favorite tour guide and made this tour the best one we have ever been on! Vicki helped to provide us with an excellent introduction to Athens and we would highly recommend her tour!"

While we had walked around quite a bit, Makram showed us the most beautiful hidden gems.
